Status and evaluation

Explicit aims.
Results to examine.

CHRONOS is in preproduction. A useful evaluation starts with a specific need, a bounded case file and criteria stated before the trial.

  1. Define the scope of the case

Describe the question, the documents that can be used, their versions and the people responsible for examining the result. The data used must be appropriate for the evaluation setting.

  2. Define what matters

Plan the checks: sources actually linked, contradictions flagged, uncertainty made explicit, points still to be verified and the ability to pick up the analysis.

  3. Examine the result

Compare the result with the criteria for the case. Record errors, missing elements and limitations. Do not infer a general capability from a single successful example.

  4. Decide on the next steps

Determine whether the case can be pursued, needs to be corrected or remains insufficiently supported. A new version of the case file may justify a fresh examination.

The functions describe aims and intended uses. The sector scenarios are fictional. The publications offer questions and analyses; their editorial validation does not constitute validation of the software’s performance.

Prepare a discussion

To frame an initial discussion, describe the need, the audience concerned, the types of documents and the intended outcome. No case-file submission or data-collection form is available in this demonstrator.

CHRONOS is in preproduction. The functions presented describe aims and intended uses. Capabilities and performance remain to be evaluated for specific uses.
